Terms of Use
Last updated: January 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of CrowdControlBarrierRentals.com (the "Site"), operated by Directory Holdings. By using the Site, browsing the directory, clicking provider contact links, or submitting a listing or advertising request, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
CrowdControlBarrierRentals.com is an informational business directory. It connects event organizers, festival and concert producers, sports venues, convention centers, exhibition organizers, municipalities, schools, universities, churches, retailers, hotels, property managers, construction companies, security firms, and other customers with companies and independent specialists that rent crowd control barriers, pedestrian barricades, queue management equipment, and temporary event fencing in the United States and Canada.
We do not manufacture, sell, deliver, install, or remove barricades or fencing. We do not act as a rental broker, general contractor, or agent for any listed business. We are not a party to any agreement you reach with a provider, and we do not process rental payments or fulfill equipment orders.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally able to enter into binding agreements to submit a listing application or advertising inquiry. By submitting an application, you represent that the business information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the business identified in the form.
4. Listing Applications and Review
Listing applications are reviewed by our editorial team. Submitting an application does not guarantee publication, priority placement, or any particular tier. We may decline, delay, edit, or remove a listing for any reason, including ineligibility, incomplete information, a missing or unverifiable company logo, service categories outside the directory's scope, duplicate records, or a failure to meet our publication standards.
A claim or update request creates an administrative review task — it does not instantly transfer ownership of a listing or publish changes. Reviewed claims are handled on a case-by-case basis.
5. Listing Tiers and Paid Advertising
The Site offers two public listing tiers: Basic and Featured. Basic listings include a verified profile with service categories, service areas, a website link, and public phone and email contact actions. Featured listings include the Basic features plus priority placement, a Featured badge, homepage showcase, ticker strip exposure, and Run of Site (ROS) banner ad rotation across eligible directory pages.
Pricing is charged by the directory for advertising and placement — it is not a fee charged by a service provider for renting barriers. Featured status is activated only after review and, where applicable, payment confirmation. Submitting a Featured request does not itself prove payment or activate Featured status, and random banner rotation is not a guarantee of a specific number of impressions.
Current advertised prices are subject to change. The prices displayed on the Get Listed page at the time of your application govern the applicable fee. Billing periods (Monthly or Annual) and tier selections are tracked through the application workflow.
6. Your Responsibilities as a Listed Business
If your business is listed, you agree that you will:
- Provide accurate, current business and contact information;
- Use a genuine company logo and authentic gallery images that you are authorized to display;
- Tag only service categories and specializations you actually offer, within the directory's scope;
- Keep contact details and service areas up to date; and
- Respond to inquiries received through directory contact actions in a professional manner.
We may remove or suspend a listing that misrepresents services, uses an unverified or substituted logo, invents contact details, or otherwise fails these standards.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent listing applications or contact requests;
- Attempt to scrape, harvest, or bulk-download directory data, provider lists, or contact details;
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Site, its forms, ad rotation, or analytics;
- Impersonate another business or submit an application on behalf of a company without authorization; or
- Introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code through any form or interaction.
8. Intellectual Property
The Site's design, text, directory structure, category taxonomy, and logo are owned by or licensed to Directory Holdings. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute directory content without permission. Provider logos, gallery images, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed on the Site for identification purposes.
9. Third-Party Links and Providers
The Site contains links to third-party provider websites, social media profiles, and advertising destinations. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, practices, or availability of any third-party site. Your dealings with any listed provider are solely between you and that provider.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Site and all listings are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Directory Holdings disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any listing, price, contact detail, or service area is accurate, complete, or current.
In no event will Directory Holdings be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or from any interaction with a listed provider, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Directory Holdings and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or damages — including reasonable attorneys' fees — arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your submission of inaccurate or unauthorized listing information.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Directory Holdings operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in that jurisdiction for any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date indicates the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@directoryholdings.com. Please describe the issue and include any relevant listing or page URL.
